Irving's Farm Fresh
Nicola and Alan Irving both have agricultural roots in England (he grew up on a farm and worked as a hauler for many years and she studied agriculture at university before working in the industry). They moved from England to Alberta in the early 2000s. Fortunately for all of us, they were unable to find any local equivalents to their favourite pork products from home. So, they decided to make their own, and now operate Irving's Farm Fresh farm and butcher shop in Round Hill, Alberta. They offer a taste of home and a promise that they will provide ‘pork to make every meal amazing!’
Their pigs are free range, raised with no added hormones or antibiotics. All of their premium pork products are made from scratch using traditional production methods and simple, fresh ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. The products made in their meat shop are free from wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy and MSG. They also avoid using artificial additives and colours. Preservatives are only used in traditionally cured products, which cannot be made legally without them.
